3M 4200 sealing trim tab wire

Here’s an interesting post from 3M 4200 sealing trim tab wire :

Had to replace a Lenco actuator. In order to fish the wire, I had to lubricate the wire with silicone spray lube as the wire was the same diameter as the hole. I let the silicone spray air dry for 1 hour or so and liberally sealed it with 4200 and a clam shell. I then added more 4200 using my finger. Will this seal the hole good?
