Bahamas on a budget with 282 Mako–Help

I would like to plan a trip to Bahamas this late April and May. I have not made the trip over there yet but looking to do it as inexpensive as possible. Please advise which islands we should visit, inexpensive places to stay (open to camping or huts ect…) We will be looking to bottom fish and troll with 50 wides.
