Bleeding AP11 hydraulic pump

I had to replace a seal and can’t get the thing bled. I’ve tried to do it without cracking the lines and using the steering wheel. It works one direction but not the other. Yes the motor spins.
The manual on the simrad site skips that part. ANyone have a link or remember the procedure?
