Navstar 7.3 diesel Marinizations?

I have seen some boats powered with the Mercruiser 7.3 Diesel. This looks to be a marinized Navstar 7.3 power stroke. Sounds good, but not much info out there. Any experiences?
Navstar 7.3 diesel Marinizations? is a post from: Marine Supply La Paz

Suggestions for Boat Purchase

Hi Members, First post, having looked over the forum and it seems to be a wealth of information. I'd like to ask for suggestions for a possible boat purchase (looking at the US Market and importing one to Oz). I live in the Pilbara region of Australia, remote Westerna Australia. I'm looking for a boat that will take me out to 80 miles offshore to a group of islands (Montebello Islands). The water temp here in Summer is 86F and in Winter is approximately 70F+ We often get 15-25knot afternoon sea breezes with wave/swell heights of up to 3 feet. I'm looking at spending up to $50,000 USD. I'm not sure whether to get a Centre Console or a Cabin, but with regards to heading offshore, will be fishing and camping out at the islands. It's quiet shallow out there, so will need to beach the boat in the evenings. Thanks for your time. Regards, D.
Suggestions for Boat Purchase is a post from: Marine Supply La Paz

Trim Tabs

I have a 1994 Grady White and need to relplace my trim tabs and actuators. I unscrewed the one remaining one I had left. I am not sure when I get the new ones what I need to do. I assume I will screw them back into the tube that slide out a little when I took the one off. Once I do this do I have to bleed the system. Where is the hydrualic until located on my 28' Marlin Grady White?
Trim Tabs is a post from: Marine Supply La Paz

Bent Strut

Guys this is sort of an add on to a previous post. I have a bent strut off a 1970 Jersey Flybridge. I thought the machine shop was going to straighten it for me but when I called today they told me it was cracked and they couldn't do anything with it. My question is does anyone know how to find out what strut is on the boat so I can check with some salvage yards. thanks
Bent Strut is a post from: Marine Supply La Paz

Water in Bilge?

This has been driving me crazy for years. Where is the water coming from? There is always a half inch of water in the bilge. I know this does not seem like alot but it extends forward to the fuel tank and my concern is that it could rust the fuel tank which is a royal pain in the butt to replace. The only place other than the rod holders that it could be coming from is the thru hull for the live well (unlikely since I replaced it myself last year), the Garboard Drain, or a clam shell above the water line in the bow which is used to drain the forward storage compartment. If if helps the boat is a Scout 202 Sportfish. Wher could it be coming from?
Water in Bilge? is a post from: Marine Supply La Paz
