Mercury 150 DFI doing some weird stuff. Ideas?

Here’s a good post from Mercury 150 DFI doing some weird stuff. Ideas? :

I have a 1998 Mercury 150 DFI and last outing it started acting up on me. Ran fine all morning, then while cruising at appx 4500 RPM I felt a very small diminish in power. Maybe a couple hundred RPMs. Shrugged it off and continued for another 5-10 minutes before stopping.

When trying to get back on plane the boat didn’t want to go over around 3K RPMs. Finally got up to speed and ran fine. When I was at 3K trying to get on plane and would touch the jack plate button the RPMs would go up slightly, and as soon as I let off the button they would drop. If I sat there and tapped the jack plate button it would eventually get enough power to get on plane. I know it sounds crazy but any ideas? Some electrical issue?
