Rebuild of a QSB 5.9L 600 Hp.

The THT guys have been great, I think we have a one off marine Diesel Shop like no other,so I thought I would open up the shop to you guys….We are building 5 or 6 QSB’s 500 thru 600 Hp……One engine is going in our test boat, more on that later…..This is our day job, and the Topaz gets 1~2 hours a day, the progress should p/u soon..We compare turbo’s, cooling spray systems,piston and rod designs using 12 different Cat/Cummins engines….So here what we have so far, a QSB 5.9, Balanced and blue printed, Injection pump flow up over 40%, enlarged injectors,HX-50 waste gate turbo,new cam, new rods,6″ dia. Hx, custom aftercooler, and an extra external oil cooler.(Porsche style).and a larger Raw water pump ~ 125 Gpm, wiring harness from an Industrial QSB, and a re flashed 480 ECM…..I think thats it…..Oh and it turns 3650 Rpm..We keep around 24 engines in the shop, and another 16 being disam., being reworked at the machine shop,and dyno shop…We will be happy to answer any questions….and your going to have to over look my stalker, sorry he won’t go away. :joincc:
